In fourth place, and up from fifth in August, a top-floor, one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in the desirable West Village. Nearly 11-foot ceilings and a wood-burning stove may pique interest, as might the recent $51,000 price reduction.

Holding steady in third place since August, a lavish, six-bedroom, seven-bath, 11,000-square-foot estate on more than a half-acre. The landscaped, walled grounds include a pool with an adjacent kitchen and pavilion.

Also holding its spot from August, a three-bedroom, three-bath, 2,637-square-foot loft in a full-service NoHo luxury building. The layout includes a massive great room, high-end finishes and appliances, and lots of closet space.

Broker: Brown Harris Stevens

Clinging to its first-place position in August, a massive seven-bedroom, seven-full-and-eight-half-bath house. Scuba tunnels connecting to a grotto with a waterfall and pool are among the seemingly endless features advertised.
