The most viewed listings on The New York Times’s Find a Home site in August included large properties with up to seven bedrooms in Colorado, California and Kansas, as well as a pair of Manhattan apartments.

The fifth most popular listing of August was a boldly decorated one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with high ceilings and access to a shared roof deck. And yes, pets are allowed in this co-op building.

Broker: The Corcoran Group

In fourth place was a five-bedroom, three-bath home built within a grove of evergreens, with views of nearby mountains carved with ski runs. The 7,791-square-foot house includes a home theater, landscaped terraces and an outdoor spa.

In third place was a six-bedroom, seven-bath, 11,000-square-foot estate on more than a half-acre. Old Hollywood movie stars could easily be imagined carousing around the elegant swimming pool.

Coming in second was a listing for a three-bedroom, three-bath loft promising fine European craftsmanship, grand proportions and views, in a full-service luxury building set on one of Manhattan’s few remaining cobblestone streets.

The most viewed listing of August has a name: “The Spirit of Avalon.” Located 15 miles from Kansas City, Mo., it has seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, eight half-bathrooms and nearly every conceivable luxury spread over 17,000 square feet of living space.
